Exoskeletons, also called robot suits, combine human intelligence with mechanical power. They support employees in physically demanding activities or when working in unergonomic positions.

At A+A 2021, manufacturers of exoskeletons presented themselves in hall 10. In addition, the special show Exoworkatlon took place in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute. Here you could take part in three different work courses: You could discover exoskeletons for legs, for overhead work and weld with simulators.

• 23% of all sickness-related absences are due to musculoskeletal disorders - caused mainly by incorrect physical strain when lifting and carrying.
• Exoskeletons enable employees to carry out their work in a health-friendly manner.
• They support the musculoskeletal system and thus reduce stress.
• They provide relief during physically demanding activities.
• Exoskeletons thus reduce sickness-related absences and production losses.
